Below is information about a select group of web sites I've developed. With each is a detailed description regarding my precise role within the development of these sites.

I am well-versed in accessibility considerations (such as Section 508 compliance and the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines). For example, W3C Accessibility Guideline 6 recommends that developers "ensure that pages featuring new technologies transform gracefully". Therefore, in the event that Javascript is turned off, the dynamic sliders below that open to display screen shots and more info will default to an open state. Additionally, screenshots on this site contain fully descriptive ALT attributes for the vision impaired.

College of Informatics

CSS, XHTML, Flash, and a bunch of Javascript are used to build an accessible site that serves as the upcoming foundation for the entire University of Northern Kentucky.

Highland Methodist Church

This site is under development currently, and is housed in the Content Management System I developed.

Zavoodi LLC

This web site is built using CSS, HTML, Javascript menus, and a PHP-based support forum.

The logo is a stylized type logo which I designed. The packaging for the StockMediaManager product is also a design of mine.

FogBox LLC

This web site is a mixture of Flash and HTML. The top portion of each page features a flash-based menu with animation. The rest of the page is drawn with CSS styles. The FogBox logo is a design of mine as well.

Dwire Hall Reconstruction

Dwire Hall, the home of the College of Business at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, is undergoing a complete rennovation. This site serves as an information portal for the various stakeholders.

Scholarly Report

Good design succeeds in turning data into information. This is an application that I consulted on (and provided portions of code for). What I want to highlight here is the manner I used to turn raw data stored in a MySQL database into usable information. The donut graph shown is dynamically drawn in Flash using data stored in a MySQL database.

The application is housed on a Linux server I configured and managed.

College of Business - UCCS

This is the main site of the College of Business at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. It follows campus design guidelines. The "welcome back" message temporary replaces normal content as fall session begins.

MBA Program - UCCS

The design of this site for the MBA Program at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, influenced the redesign of the MBA program's main marketing materials (brochures, etc.), which went on to win a National Advertising Federation ADDY award, proof that there's a natural synergy that can (and should) be exploited between print and web.

This site is housed completely in an early beta version of a web-based content management system I authored. Notice how rapidly the pages load, which is due to MySQL outperforming the typical paradigm of storing HTML pages on a server's filesystem.

EmptyHead LLC

This site reflects the irreverent, no-holds-barred attitude of today's youth that this company wanted to leverage. In addition to building the site, I oversaw the creation of the company logo, which included locating and hiring the artist, providing him with a rough sketch of the logo, and managing the final production (coloring, element positioning and sizing, etc.).

See the Multimedia page for a proof-of-concept viral web ad showcasing tee shirts and other products for the company. WARNING: You may find some of Empty Head's products distasteful.

PhotoVault - UCCS

PhotoVault is a site for College of Business Faculty and Staff, which provides them with an easy-to-use interface for locating College and University images for use in their multimedia creations and web sites.
