Presented below is a small collection of multimedia that
I've created for various purposes, using a wide range of
hardware and software. Currently I'm editing on Macintosh
using Final Cut Pro, after having edited for a bit using
Sony's Vegas on Windows XP. Generally, the clips below
require version 7 of Apple's free QuickTime software.
A 1 minute animated short produced for the College of
Informatics at Northern Kentucky University. One in a
series of three using open source animation from the
Elephant's Dream Project.
One of a series of viral marketing videos targeting
young male computer users by leveraging Apple's coveted
and growing "hipness factor" amongst youth. Everything
you see or hear in this clip was created by me: script,
voiceover, music, editing.
A welcome video, shot on a consumer-grade Sony miniDV
camera, for the Dean of the College of Business at the
University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
The building housing the College of Business at the
University of Colorado at Colorado Springs is scheduled
for a complete renovation. This short video is a proof
of concept for a series intended to better educate the
college's stakeholders.
A lighthearted look at a freshman's first day of class
in the College of Business at University of Colorado at
Colorado Springs.
An instructional video, part of a planned series, for a
custom-built application which tracks scholarly
contributions of faculty members at the University of
Colorado at Colorado Springs.
A video for a presentation on robotics, comprised of
clips downloaded from the web, bedded with Styx's 'Mr.
Roboto'.
This movie file illustrates the concept that a
presentation can be easily turned into an interactive
video. Unlike other solutions out there, this one
awaits the user's click (or arrow keys) to advance
through the presentation. There is only voiceover at
the beginning of the presentation, but easily could be
added throughout. Of technical interest is that the
video only actually plays upon the user's click,
meaning that the slide transitions are the only real
video in the movie, resulting in much smaller file
size. This movie is 49 MB only because the original
presentation contained a high-res 4 minute video.
EasyDonatePro™ is an online service which makes
adding fundraisers to your web site a snap. This video
demonstrates the service while it was still a
proof-of-concept. It was used to communicate the
service ideas to both developers and investors.
A fun video produced for a marketing professor,
capturing the humor of a marketing exercise involving
eggs.
Mac users only with iSight camera and/or built-in
microphone, will see their image reflected in this
QuickTime movie, and can control the size of the
Zavoodi logo with their voice. This movie accesses the
local camera and mic, using Quartz for real-time
audio/video processing. All this in a tiny 114.2 Kb
file! More info in my 11/13/2006 blog entry. Windows
users will see nothing.
